Getting from Here (Research) to There (Policy) and Farther: Featuring DC Councilmember Charles Allen

Charles Allen 2015In this final episode in our inaugural series, “Getting from Here (Research) to There (Policy) and Farther: Featuring DC Councilmember Charles Allen,” (Pod 16) you get to hear directly from one of our key stakeholders: a policymaker.

In this informal interview, DC Councilmember Charles Allen shares insights into how researchers can influence policymakers and why they should try to do so. He also talks about why he pursued politics after his public health degree and the importance of family. Thanks again to Mr. Allen sharing his time and supporting the health services community in this way.
